About Me
My name is Francis (he/they). I am a queer, transmasc, non-binary, disabled, non-monogamous multiply-neurodivergent therapist based near Edinburgh.
Long before discovering my neurodivergence or queerness I felt different, and I came to appreciate the freedom, creativity and diversity that comes from embracing this difference rather than trying to comform.
I have a strong sense of justice. As well as a therapist I have been an activist, community organiser, mediator, artist and support worker.
Many of the things I support people with I also have lived experience of including autism/ADHD and other neurodivergent traits, late diagnosis, burnout, trans and non-binary identity, disability/chronic health conditions and suicide bereavement.
I have long been interested in the healing potential of genuine accepting relationships and this found its best expression via the person-centred approach to therapy.

I have run my own full-time private practice since 2018 working with the general population initially and increasingly focused on queer, neurodivergent and chronically ill people. I trained in online and telephone therapy in 2020 and more recently as a supervisor (2025).
I have delivered bereavement counselling in a hospice setting, online and via chat, supported people bereaved by suicide - individually and group support. I offered counselling to frontline staff during the pandemic and worked with EAPs.
I have a lot of experience with and enjoy working with other therapists and therapists-in-training. My qualifications and memberships are generally accepted by course providers.
